 Edible Centerpiece
The building was originally part of A.G. Robinsons(AGR's) department store which supplied a broad range of products to the locals. The Loft was used as the dry feed store and lawn mower repair workshop. After a fire in the early seventies, it was decided not to rebuild due to various factors. The building was eventually turned into a restaurant known as 'The Barn' in the early eighties and has operated under various names since. It eventually became 'The Loft' in the late nineties and has enjoyed various reincarnations under this name. We took over in 2002 and have given it its latest make over. We have created a venue for people to go to relax and enjoy creative food with quality beer and wine.
This latest reincarnation of our restaurant is about the unashamed enjoyment of cooking with a sense of real pleasure. We aim to source quality ingredients that are in season and produced as locally as possible. We hope that this helps you to enjoy the time that you choose to spend with your family and friends in our company.
Catering Service The general idea being that you choose as many dishes as you like (without necessarily having a main meal), these are sent up at intervals so you can relax, share a bottle of wine from our list and enjoy this dining concept. We have designed this menu as an introduction to 'Australian free style cuisine' and to the joy of share plate dining.
We hope you enjoy your time with us.
